Deutsche Bank hires equity research head for Korea
Deutsche Bank announced that it appointed Jay Choi as head of Korean equity research. He will act as the Korea equity strategist as well as manage the bank’s output of Korean equity research. Choi’s career began at Hannuri Salomon where he was an associate technology analyst, then moved to Merrill Lynch as an equity research analyst. Before moving to Deutsche Bank, Choi was managing director and senior analyst for Blackstone AMN and head of Korean technology research at Citi.
The Korean equities team also welcomed Sanjeev Rana as vice-president and senior industrials analyst. Rana began his career as a research analyst at Samsung electronics and then moved to Merrill Lynch’s Korean operations where he was covering industrial stocks. Two associate analysts, Chanwook Park and Hoyer Jeong, as well as two other associates, Sin-Young Park and Stephanie Chang, have also joined the research team.
